New episode - Spotted Rail Celebration

In December, 2020 the birding world flocked to Texas to see a Spotted Rail in Choke Canyon State Park south of San Antonio.  It was only the fourth US record, and this apparently happy, healthy bird presented the first chance for birders to see a Spotted Rail alive in North America.  In this episode of OutBirding with Field Guides, Bret Whitney gives us the skinny on this rarely seen rallid, and takes us to Choke Canyon for up-close encounters with this handsome bird and some of the key birders who discovered and protected it.
