These flycatchers can be very challenging to differentiate in the field, but Chris lays out the ID issues surrounding the US Myiarchus species in a straightforward way that should help you see and hear these birds more clearly. Part One includes an overview of identification issues and an investigation of certain calls that can be confused with Nutting's Flycatcher. Part Two details species-level ID for each of the six Myiarchus found in the US (4 regular species and 2 rare ones, Nutting's Flycatcher and La Sagra's Flycatcher).
